With IT: Welcome to Derry on the way + The Life of Chuck out now & The Long Walk coming in September, Coy & Roxy give their Carrie Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, & Spoiler Review!! Join Coy Jandreau & Roxy Striar as they dive into Brian De Palma’s chilling 1976 adaptation of Stephen King’s Carrie, where shy high‐schooler Carrie White (Sissy Spacek, Coal Miner’s Daughter, Badlands) discovers her hidden telekinetic powers after years of torment. Raised by her fanatically religious mother Margaret White (Piper Laurie, The Hustler, Children of a Lesser God), Carrie endures cruel bullying from classmates—and a humiliating prank in the girls’ locker room—that pushes her abilities to the breaking point. The film’s fierce ensemble includes William Katt (The Greatest American Hero, Big Wednesday) as Tommy Ross, the good‐hearted student who convinces his date to take Carrie to the prom; Nancy Allen (Dressed to Kill, RoboCop) as Chris Hargensen, the jealous mean girl who masterminds the infamous pig’s‐blood prank; Betty Buckley (Eight Is Enough, True Grit) as Miss Collins, the compassionate gym teacher who recognizes Carrie’s potential; and a pre‐star John Travolta (Saturday Night Fever, Grease) in a brief but memorable cameo as Billy Nolan, Chris’s boyfriend and fellow conspirator. Coy & Rox break down every unforgettable moment—from Carrie’s first telekinetic outburst in the locker room to the iconic prom scene where sheep’s blood “pours down” on Carrie and her powerful revenge unfolds. They’ll dissect the slow‐burn suspense of the white‐washed house finale, the surreal use of split‐screen during Carrie’s rampage, and Piper Laurie’s Oscar‐nominated performance as the deranged mother hook that anchors the film’s horror. Don’t miss their in‐depth reaction to the film’s groundbreaking special effects, its exploration of religious fanaticism and teenage alienation, and why Carrie remains one of the most highly searched‐for horror classics of the 1970s! #Carrie1976 #BrianDePalma #SissySpacek #PiperLaurie #WilliamKatt #JohnTravolta #NancyAllen #BettyBuckley #PromScene #Telekinesis #PigBloodScene #HorrorClassic #MovieReaction #ReactionReview #CoyJandreau #RoxyStriar Sinners (2025) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/cu1bcprLdYY Misery (1990) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/7O6ka2eA394 The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/6WpEjTdV9zw Cape Fear (1991) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/nECwviCSZD4 The Others (2001) Movie Review: 0:00 Checking In! 1:31 Carrie Reaction 35:51 LIQUID IV 37:45 Carrie Movie Reaction 51:51 Patron Q&A & Carrie Review Follow Coy Jandreau: Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@CoyJandreau Tik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@coyjandreau?lang=en Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coyjandreau/?hl=en Twitter: https://twitter.com/CoyJandreau Follow Roxy Striar: Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheWhirlGirls Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/roxystriar/?hl=en Twitter: https://twitter.com/roxystriar Intense Suspense by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Support The Channel By Getting Some REEL REJECTS Aparrel! https://www.rejectnationshop.com/ Follow TheReelRejects On The Socials: IG: https://www.instagram.com/reelrejects/ TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@thereelrejects?lang=en TWITTER: https://twitter.com/thereelrejects FB: https://www.facebook.com/TheReelRejects/ Music Used In Ad: Hat the Jazz by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Happy Alley by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ POWERED BY @GFUEL Visit https://gfuel.ly/3wD5Ygo and use code REJECTNATION for 20% off select tubs!! The teacher definitely wasn't laughing at her, a few others probably weren't either. But at that point, Carrie had lost it and started imagining that everyone was.

Fun fact. Stephen King was once a failing writer, and his wife found a manuscript in the trash. She asked why he’d thrown it out, and he said it was no good. She told him he absolutely had to show people this one. It was Carrie, and it was the first book that made it to publishing, giving him his big break

Tommy was the one who wrote the poem and Carrie said that it was beautiful. Tommy was upset that the teacher was making fun of Carrie which is why he spoke

"Carrie" is one of the best anti-bullying movies. It taught a lot of kids to think twice before being cruel to their peers at school.

Carrie is famous for that jump scare at the end. My mom saw it in theaters and she told me the whole theater went crazy because no one expected it and it was so loud she couldn't hear anything because everybody was screaming

The actress playing Mrs. Snell ( Priscilla Pointer) was Amy Irving's (Sue Snell) real life mom. She just passed away in 2025 at 100. Also, the set designer was Jack Fisk, Sissy Spacek's husband of now over 50 years.

I remember my dad telling me he went to see this when it came out. When the hand came out of the grave, some random woman next to him screamed and grabbed his leg, which made him scream and throw his popcorn everywhere. 😂
