Description

Basement #009: Eric Wargo | UFO Time Machines,The Block Universe, and Precognitive Dreams Eric Wargo is an anthropologist, science writer, and the author of five books on one of the most controversial ideas in modern science — that the future is already fixed, and that your brain knows more about it than you think. His work sits at the crossroads of physics, psychology, and the paranormal, drawing on everything from Einstein's relativity to Jung's scarab beetle to make a case that precognition is not only real but explainable through mainstream science. He spent years as an editorial director at one of the country's leading psychology organizations before a UFO sighting in 2009 sent him in a very different direction — and he never really looked back. You can find his writing at The Night Shirt and on Substack, and his books wherever books are sold. #Precognition #TimeLoops #AJGentile #EricWargo 〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰〰 Executive Producers: Jennifer Gentile Gino Gentile AJ Gentile Patreon Members Editors: Joe Stone Drew Sullivan Brandon Snyder Ryan Fitzgerald Producers: Victoria Young Haley Burke Research: Haley Burke AJ Gentile Gino Gentile Jen Gentile Victoria Young Written/Hosted by: AJ Gentile Hecklefish J. I had a precognitive dream in 1991. I was a junior in high school. The dream was me just going through a normal day in school. At the end of the dream I was leaving my biology class, which is on the second floor, and heading to the stairs to go down to p.e. As I approached the stairs, my friend Andy was coming up. I greeted him and he asked if I had a #2 pencil he could borrow. I was getting one for him out of my backpack when suddenly I found myself at home in bed. It was disorienting. I wondered if I had passed out in school or something. Turned out my school day was a dream. It was a Sunday morning. On Monday I went to school and everything was playing out as it had in my dream. I left biology class, and Andy came up the stairs. I greeted him and, before he could ask, I handed him a pencil. He asked how I knew he needed one and I replied that he wouldn't believe me if I told him. I'll never forget this experience.

At first when these Basement interviews came out about 1 month ago, I was skeptical because I was afraid that would mean that we would get less (or nothing at all) of the standard/classic Why FIles videos which I love. What I have come to learn/understand since then though, is that we will get more content overall since AJ is still releasing the classic Why Files episodes PLUS these new Basement-interviews which I am all for. So thanks to AJ and the Why Files team for working EVEN harder than before, for what is probably the best channel right now on Youtube ♥

Looking around the Basement you can tell they put a lot thought into building the set. A,J and his wife are true producers.

That was probably the most epic and incredibly perfect sounding comment I've heard this whole year!!! At 2:27:20, A. J. asks Eric about his thoughts on life after death and we almost got nothing from Eric, but like a professional interviewer with possible pre-cognition about the need to get Eric to answer at least a bit more, A.J. asks Eric to tell us what he feels about life after death . That's when Eric says "I don't think anybody can seriously believe that death is the final end" meaning that it's almost too uncomfortable or unnatural for humans to genuinely believe that. Whether they say it or not nobody can allow themselves the empty sadness of thinking this is all there is for our souls or consciousness. Immediately A.J. heard the response and began agreeing like he just heard a fundamental truth about life. That's what I felt when I heard it. It was a powerful insight from a very insightful person.
