As a German I feel fine with Russia's undefendable hypersonic missile superiority and Putin's prudently executed deterrence and escalation dominance. It keeps in check and balances the European - in first place German - warmongering morons aiming at war with Russia. Just one Oreshnik fusillade - even with conventional, non-nuclear payload - could fold flat all German rearmament facilities. It would be a painful bliss in favor of a l l European nations. I prefer being at Putin’s mercy, which is more sensical than being at our megalomaniac sociopaths' mercy. Satanists walking Hitler's boots ...

Russia needs to quit warning the West and do something that hurts the West. That will get their real attention.

I have to say that Doctorow has been proven right in regards to Putin's hesitation to respond strongly has emboldened the extremists into dangerous provocations.
We never found out the extent of damage from the first Oreshnik - Ukraine and the West hiding that information should provide a clue.
