It's not just basketball. Pro football, hockey, baseball and FIFA soccer to name just a few. Professional sports has always been corrupt.
What boggles my mind is how anyone can think that professional basketball or any other professional sport is somehow different from professional wrestling. When money gets involved it stops being a competition and it starts being a work.
I mean, they promote sports betting every which way you turn...are we really surprised that it's rigged?
Scott Foster has been rigging games for years. The sad thing is the NBA had a huge scandal in the 90s and 00s with refs rigging games for Vegas. The head of the league at the time David Stern was massively against sports betting but when he died and Adam Silver took over he wanted to expand into China so he opened the floodgates to betting. It's such a bad look for the NBA to be shoving this amoral industry down our throats.😢 It really sucks as a fan of basketball to see how much the game has been bastardized.
Corruption everywhere.
The NFL is way worse. It's so obvious. They may not do every game but there's a few every week.
