Emma Stone must have watched a ton of Elizabeth Holmes clips to prepare for this role because she nails the cold and soulless nature of a corporate CEO. From the blank look in her eyes down to how her words mean nothing but sound like they mean everything, she is so good in her manipulation of Teddy. Truly one of her best performances and she's found her creative soulmate in Yorgos Lanthimos.
I like how we’re skipping over the fact that Teddy is a serial killer 😂
You know the first thing that seemed very odd to me in this movie is the fact that when Michelle was getting abducted from her house ,there was no security guard or absolutely anything anywhere near her place, a very rich and high profile important person like her. Even inside her house she didn't seem to have any workers. Later on ofc it made sense and checked out why it was the way it was.
“Can we have a dialogue here”
Let this not distract from the real villain of the film: Stavvy.
She wants them to FEEL free to leave the office. Without actually really BEING FREE to do so given the pressure to conform to corporate needs.
I loved this analysis. Maybe I’ve been manipulated because I don’t think Teddy was right about anything except that aliens existed. He’s just as dangerous as she is.
this movie blew my fucking mind, not just the ending, but how realistic the dialog is. i need to watch it through a second time
I love when she came back to the office and said again that it is 5:30 pm and they are free to go XD
Next week: Chuck McGill Acting analysis from Better Call Saul If you enjoyed the video, please like, hype and comment as the algorithm isn’t my friend right now
