Todd has a promising career in corporate
I think what sets Todd apart is that in every other narcissistic villain in breaking bad, they’re more so amplifying vices. Walter’s ego, Gus’s perfectionism and anger, Tuco’s impulsivity, the twin’s loyalty and conviction. With Todd he’s flat out missing something in his head that stops him from doing wrong. He’s an earnest guy who seemingly never had a shred of moral fiber.
I don’t believe Todd kept the spider as a trophy. I think it’s more likely that he is so emotionally detached from the murder he committed that the spider is merely something he saw and thought was neat.
something terrifying and cool about todd is how innocent he looks and acts. he definitely gives off very childlike vibes
Todd was actually the ginger kid that Jesse left on the porch, he just grew up really quick
Todd clearly spent his childhood with people who are nothing like his uncle. Someone taught Todd manners, dress, speech, his whole personality reflects a certain upbringing that he obviously did not get from Jack and his cronies.
Todd is so terrifying because he looks like an ordinary awkward guy but at an instant will commit evil with no remorse and act like nothing happened.
What makes Todd's character more disturbing is that he doesn't pretend or use politeness as a mask. He's genuinely a polite guy who also happens to be a horrible psychopath
Another scary thing about Todd... He doesn't even understand revenge, and holds no grudges. He didn't see Jesse as any kind of threat, even when Jesse was armed. He clearly didn't care his Uncle Jack had just been murdered. He rather minded the genius behind Walt's plan. He doesn't seem breakable. I don't think you could upset him personally, but he will still serve (what he thinks) is the relevant consequence.
Plemmons was PERFECTLY cast as an oddly vacant psychopath.
