Great review. People tend to get really caught up with horsepower but realistically this is faster than 99.9% of drivers will ever need
The Car Care Nut is one guy I listen to. He is meticulous and extremely knowledgeable. He is also an honest broker with morals. A rare person in today’s world.
Had a mk7 GTI that went 125k miles before I sold it to family; it was the best car I ever had, I took it everywhere. Bought a 2024 Tacoma but then the 2025 GTI MK 8.5 came out and I had to pull the trigger. The MK 8.5 has to be one of, if not the best daily drivers out there. Fast when I want it to put my foot down, very fuel efficient when it has to be and practical enough for Costco runs and putting baby seat in the back. As far as traffic goes just turn it to eco or comfort; sport has higher RPM ranges in the gears. Car is actually pretty easy to work on as well; for example, you can do a oil change on this car without jack stands or ramps by putting a oil extractor through the dipstick tube since the oil filter is on top. I also have those amazing seats that you tested out in this video.

I'm the first owner of a 2014 GTI DSG and I just can't get rid of it. Wonderful car, fun to drive, good fuel consumption. Almost 12 years of joy and counting. Das Auto. PS: I always deactivate the start-stop system right after starting the engine.
This is probably the best review/overview of the 2025 gti I have seen online. GREAT video sir. Would really like to see an overview of the new GOLF R !
The rear camera is behind the VW logo so it is always clean. When engaging reverse, the logo flips upwards.
My day is winding down and then I see this come up. Such a great way to finish my day. Absolutely love the under the car review. As someone who still does most of my own work that is my favorite part. Seeing what components are used under is my favorite thing. Thank you.
All the plastic parts inside and then the air filter box being locked down with Torx is hilarious.
I have a 7.5 GTI with the 7 speed DSG and it’s a little clunky for the first few minutes especially in the cold weather but after a little while it is very smooth and shifts very fast. Amazing transmission. Thank you for the review!
