The problem is the lack of federal regulations to prevent over inflating pricing.
The housing struggles are real Buying and Renting ☹️
At the end of the day people are going to eat by any means necessary. You can’t starve people and expect to live in a peaceful harmonious society.

Here in Ohio the state got federal funds to build affordable housing. The only thing getting built in the urban areas is luxury apartments.
You hit it on the head, March 2022, Oregon Senior Trailer parks were "sold to other owners" where lot rents went way up from $400-$600. So, Seniors who paid their old trailer off, still cannot afford to pay the now $800-$1,000. They cannot sell their homes, and thugs are tossing them on the streets. It has been kept quiet, and voiceless seniors are working delivery or other gig jobs. Thank you, Roland.
🙋🏾♂️Ummm Roland, there seems to be PLENTY of "Affordable Housing"🏠 for MIGRANTS who just got here.
An entire neighborhood of new townhomes built near my old apartment got purchased by a company. The builder didn't even have a chance to put the homes up for sale. Its crazy. After the pandemic my apartment complex raised rent by $300. Normally it only went up $30 per year. They said "Oh, we're keeping up with the market" I wasn't paying an extra $300 so we looked for a house. We got lucky and purchased our house in an area that isn't booming just yet so we got a good deal on a new house this past summer. But the area just got listed on one of the top 10 places to retire to. People are now buying up land hoping to flip it when companies start coming in.
I pay wayyy less for my mortgage than everyone else around me pay for rent. I saw what was coming yrs ago so I knew I had to get a mortgage before I got priced out the city. And good thing I did when I did because everything went up triple fold once I got in. The homes I used to rent for 375 now go for well over 900. And really you can't rent a nice place for under 1200 now. Which means if I didnt buy my house, If I wanted to continue to live here I would have to live out of my car or move into a boarding house, which is just not my thing.
Family housing should not be able to be purchased by these corps and investment groups.
