Replay crew: I think the absence of Gabby's name in that letter speaks to the fact that his mother wrote it AFTER she knew Gabby was dead. If you're writing a letter to try & bridge a growing gap with your son before he leaves on a lengthy road trip with his girlfriend/fiancee, how do you NOT mention the person that he will be leaving & traveling with? Unless the divide was due to a problem between his mom & Gabby & her focusing only on Brian was a deliberate slight toward Gabby. Either way, it looks very bad for the Laundries for Gabby not to be mentioned in this letter. If I were so committed to a person that I was going into the vanlife subculture with them & had at one point proposed marriage to spend my life with them & my mom completely ignored their existence in some I love you no matter what letter then we're still not cool because loving me no matter what would include accepting the person that I love & the path I've chosen for my life. The whole "burn after reading," absence of Gabby & those very specific scenarios in the letter screams to me that it is something Brian's mom wrote to him after he confessed to her what he had done to Gabby.

Personally, I wouldn't believe Roberta if she said Winnie the Pooh was a bear😡

I feel the letter is sus whether she wrote it before or after the trip. Hey, if you happen to unalive her along the way, I'll come help you.

Pretty strange letter before a trip. Sounds more like "if you happen to kill her I'll help you"

Can we please give Nicole Schmidt an ear piece with Emily giving her a live pep talk to endure this lengthy torture?

Aha! I wondered if the Laundries could be charged with accessory after the fact. Glad the Petito/Schmidt family's lawyer brought that up.

Judge: "Tell me how this isn't relevant?" Lawyer: "Because It Hurts My Case Your Honour!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

If Gabby wasn't found the Laundrirs & there attorney would have never told where her body was & she'd be there forever

I’m not sure I believe the letter was written before the trip, not enough info. But I fail to see how that makes it any better. It might even make it worse. If a jury feels that the Laundrie mom suspected her son might kill Gabbie on the trip that is not helpful to the Laundrie case. It looks really really bad either way. Their only hope is that a jury would believe the language was purely symbolic or hyperbolic. I don’t think it matters when it was written in terms of potential negative inferences being made
