This episode was epic. The foreshadowing of Ahsoka fighting the clones in Order 66 was so well done and gave me chills.
Kinda poetic how Anakin saved Ashoka at the end of the day. May not have been his intention once he became darth vader, but by pushing her to the best of her ablilities she was able to survive order 66.
They chose to go to “that moment” in s7 because we learn that all the practice Anakin taught Ahsoka ended up saving her life. Order 66, all the clones attack her, and thanks to the extensive training she was ready for it and lived
I find it so cool that Anakin inadvertently was training Asokha to survive Order 66.
I'm just thinking of that moment when Vader is holding her lightsaber, thinking she's dead. Now I'm certain he had to have thought about all the time she spent training against the troopers and maybe feeling a moment of regret that it wasn't enough (as far as he knows).
Ah the Clone Wars continuity was so nice and seeing Anakin, Obi-Wan, Plo-Koon, Yoda all in that scene as they are viewing Ahoska's training felt like a montage piece in this episode.
And this was why she survived order 66 where so many jedi masters didn’t such as Depa Bilabba who was killed by clones in a similar formation to the ones helping train Ahsoka
The desperation Anakin has to keep Ahsoka safe and alive so she can survive makes his reaction to her death on mortis that much more gut wrenching. The way he almost ORDERS the Father to save her life even though she's very much dead is just hard to watch. Anakin could never accept that with life, there's death. You can't have one without the other. He so badly wanted to keep those close to him safe, because his greatest fear was being alone. And in the end, that desperation to prevent that fate from happening, is what caused him to end up more alone than ever before. It's absolutely tragic.
I started crying the moment I saw the Clone circle…Anakin prepared her to survive Order 66 😭😭😭
