As an Indonesian who got to see the movie early in what was probably the most fun-packed theater I’ve experienced all year and had a lovely surprise Q&A with the director, I’m proud of Timo Tjahjanto’s success in Hollywood. He’s one of the best action directors Indonesia has ever had, and I’m excited for the world to finally know his name. I’m glad this movie will put him on the map and hopefully encourage people to check out his previous works on Netflix, particularly The Night Comes for Us and The Shadow Strays, both of which are bloody insane and the closest we’ve gotten to another The Raid-type movie (which yes, there are plenty of The Raid actors in his movies). You could say he’s still adapting to a new environment in Hollywood, but when he’s back in his hometown, playing by his own rules? He just goes absolutely crazy.
I love how you guys almost-but-not-specifically clocked Daniel Bernhardt, considering that he's from 'Nobody' itself (and 'John Wick' and 'Atomic Blonde' and "Ballerina'). He's in EVERYTHING, and I'm not mad about it.
The story is a concept by Bob Odenkirk. He had a home invasion that went wrong and came up with the idea of what if something like that happened, what would I do etc. In real-life he said he trapped the intruders in a basement or something but he felt it didn't go the way he wanted it go. I believe he had a heart attack and when doing the first Nobody it saved his life.

Fun fact: Bob Odenkirk’s delivery of the line “I’m. On. F**king. Va-ca-tion!” was improvised on set while they were choreographing the scene. The fight coordinator (who also plays Sharon Stone’s henchman) told me this when I interviewed him for a different film.
