Thank you! You've explained the "charges dropped" Rust thing better than I've seen explained up to now and it makes so much more sense to me now.
Alec Baldwin not being the most likable person in general may be the cause of some of the snarkiness of the Special Prosecutor. However, when your life, livelihood, and spending time in jail is on the line, your going to get the best lawyers available. Alec can afford the best. And as Emily has said over and over a defense attorney is supposed to zealously advocate for its client. Calling Alecs attorney's "Fancy" as if they are mudding the waters when they were clearly in the wrong. Just take the charge off and say nothing or just agree would have been the better course of action. It makes her look "small town" and inept to harp on Alecs lawyers who are doing the correct lawyering thing. It also makes it look like her over charging is personal rather than maintaining the law and justice for the victim. It becomes vendetta-ish.
I’m a later in life South Park consumer. My kids got me in the mid 2000’s. My 90’s, late night when the husband was deployed and the babies were sleeping, guilty pleasure was Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Talk about snark!
It is disappointing that the NM prosecution did not just own up to their charge mistake, instead of getting emotional and make such comments about Big City Lawyers...
