If the husband is suing the people that he thinks let her down , doesn’t it also relate to him as well, especially as he was the one living with her and her telling him she had certain thoughts about bringing harm to herself and others, yet he still left her alone with the kids. Couldn’t it be the same way she convinced him she was not a threat she convinced the doctors?

Even the medications are no guarantee that extreme mental illness is under control and she should not have been left alone with her children

Some years ago a family friend was suffering from PPP. One moment she would appear to be absolutely fine, and the next it was almost as if she was possessed. Her husband was driving them to the coast one day, when all of a sudden she started screaming in terror, ripped off her seatbelt, and tried to hurl herself from the moving car around 60mph. He managed to grab her arm and keep her in while he brought the vehicle to a stop, but she was still screaming. It turned out she 100% believed the car was on fire, and was trying to escape. Another time she was found wandering down the road in her underwear bottoms, with a shirt on but unbuttoned to her navel. There were dozens of events - but she was never left alone with the children. She was never the same person after the PPP - even into her 60s. And they could never find proper healthcare for her condition; she was just passed from pillar to post. Even now she dissociates and has "odd" episodes. My heart goes out to every member of this family.

My question: knowing what Lindsay was going through, how long, how severe, how dangerous ... WHY, WHY, WHY would anyone leave her alone with the children???????? I will never understand THAT. This is tragic, horrifying on so many levels. TRAGIC!!!

If men were effected 2 out of 1,000 there would be more being done about it.

She isn’t a Casey Anthony, she is a reminder that post partum should be taken seriously and that anyone, even a well educated nurse, can be affected by severe mental health struggles. There is no doubt or denial that she did this, and she is going to spend the rest of her life locked up one way or another. Her life is over, she will be paying the time and held accountable for her actions but let’s not take away from the fact that this is not something she could control or prevent. it was not intentional nor should she be put in the same box as parents who intentionally murdered their children. It’s a sad situation, may those babies RIP💔

In 1984, I suffered from severe post depression after the birth of my first child. She was a planned pregnancy, I wanted a girl, I had a beautiful baby girl. 6 weeks after her birth I started having intrusive thoughts of killing her, it started with one bizarre thought of poisoning her bottle yet I breastfed, each day the thoughts increased. Thank God, I knew enough to check myself into the hospital, spent a total of 4 weeks in the hospital. The depression was horrifying and I felt I was living in hell. I had two more children with no issues. There are warning signs that loved ones need to pay attention to. May these babies RIP and good thoughts for the mother and father. Heartbreaking for all.

Case in point how messed up American medical system has become. For profit needs patients to be in and out, they are not set up for long-term illnesses. Same thing happened with my elderly mom, she's sicker than a dog but after a handful of days she's shipped off to rehab. She went dowenhill immediately. Stay well, corporate profits demand your health be profitable or else!

This was BOUND to happen to those innocent babies. Patrick didn’t get the babies away from her even with all of her confessing that she wanted to do HARM.
