The first 2 episodes have been a feast for those of us who are hardcore detail-oriented fans.
Being upset with aa Bene Gesserit being manipulative is like being upset at a bird for having feathers....
He didn’t kill her because ending her doesn’t end the sisterhood’s influence, which is what he seems to want. Killing her only leaves a void for someone else to fill. The enemy we know is easier to take down then the one we don’t. So instead of killing her, he will probably continue trying to remove the sisterhood from power and then kill her if it comes to it. Better that than to martyr her.
I think if he were to kill her, he would appear as a recluse, and the Emperor wouldn’t trust him. Up until this point all of his killings have been in service to the Emperor and his interests, but if he were to kill the head of the Sisterhood just because he can, then he loses all of that trust he’s built in an instant. I believe undermining her authority will serve whatever his cause is best in the long run. Also, she is unable to kill him using the voice, so he’s safe from her for the moment, but not from any assassins she may send his way. This is getting good.
I’m glad that Achara explained to Jaby that Tula took the risk of the girl finding out about the murder of Rakela’s granddaughter. Tula understood the risk and took it, deciding that the revenge of the murdered woman was worth the knowledge that they would acquire from Rakela.
the soldier who survived the worm is a Rasputin type archetype, he even has the eyes of Rasputin and the garb like Rasputin and he has magical powers that the Queen saw and appreciated and persuaded her emperor husband to listen to him. The head royals them become dependent on him and they follow advice that threatens the other houses.
Desmond’s character is played by Travis Fimmel (Ragnar in Vikings). That is his Eye colour
I feel like the sister being dead is why the emperor starts listening to his wife. When she is around he dismisses his wife and dosnt remember things the same as her. But when she goes he starts listening to his wife more and more. Probably like the old way she mentioned in the last episode.
As Rasputin seems to be the model here, then we should remember that did not work out so well for the Romanovs in the long run... And that Salusa Secundus is not the future seat of the emperor, but the prison planet and training ground for the Sardaukar
He shouldn't kill her....as they already explained in Dune part 2 that "if a person of faith killed, then it would get bigger and faith grows stronger" as said by Florence pugh....have to consider the whole Dune world's words and tactics and their charaters to understand at the deeper level
