Description

Governor Rick Perry along with a growing number of others, many in the medical profession, are on a mission to make Ibogaine—a very old plant-based substance that has, for years, been a classified as a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance (and therefore illegal in this the US)—available in this country, and they make a VERY compelling case as to why. In short, hundreds of individuals, many of whom are veterans, have been restored to their former selves after just one treatment. Rick believes the time is long past due to bring those clinics to America and get Ibogaine off Schedule 1. I know this topic is controversial. When I first announced that I’d talk to the former governor about a hallucinogen, I heard from people who expressed their disappointment. Personally, I don’t think this is the time to wait for the medical establishment, or our elected officials, or all the various agencies to weigh in on the potential risks of a plant based substance that seems to getting some extraordinarily positive results. In my opinion, men and women should have the right to try to save themselves with any substance that can offer them a reasonable shot at peace. And the evidence that Ibogaine can do so is impossible to ignore. As a veteran since 1960, I've been appalled at the reluctance of bureaucrats to give veterans the medical care they earned. Saving their traditions is more important than the lives of the men and women who served.

Omgosh, this is Amazing. I have an addicted daughter and I've been hoping and praying this would start Somewhere. We're in Small Town, Rural Western PA . I wish to get her to go to treatment before it's too late. She's 33 years old. God help us all. And especially, you, Rick! And, Mike Rowe! ✌️❤️🙏

What I've seen as a Veterans are that too many are afraid to seek help because they'll loose a lot of rights. 😢😢😢

People who can't fix their conditions via lifestyle change or western medicine deserve the chance to try these alternatives.

Sounds good so far. Are there any negative side effects? If not any serious side effects, then get it out there not only for our veterans, but others who may have an addiction that can be given a new life. Make it available at cost.

Ibogaine should be grown everywhere!

There are people that have been brought up to be scared to death of “illegal” drugs. You will not change their minds.

I've seen many interviews regarding the use of Ibogaine for PTSD and addiction, researched it further and find the sturdies and observations credible and astounding. Here in very blue California there are many, many people who would benefit from having this resource to straighten out their lives and the lives of their loved ones. You would think that ours would be the first state to get this approved. But we're not even talking about it. Two things that people find interesting when I try to interest them in going to Mexico for treatment are One: Richard Nixon blocked it's use as a blanket ban of all psychedelics and Two: Rick Perry, a staunch conservative from Texas endorses the legalization of Ibogaine for therapeutic purposes. For some reason, even to my dear liberal friends, the fact that a staunch conservative supports it means that it's credible. Governor Perry, this is your most important mission.
