Description

Nala, a former 0F star, recently appeared on the Whatever Podcast where she confessed to deceiving her audience to gain subscribers before her conversion to Christianity. However, the clip was deceptively edited to make it sound like she lied about being a Christian. This is scandalous because it is totally lacking in grace and leads people away from Christ. I really don’t understand why people seem to be cheering for this girl to fail. I’m with you: better to err on the side of grace. If she’s lying, she’s not tricking God. He’s the only One who truly knows our hearts.

The real issue isn't if she's lying or not about her conversion; the real issue is she was blatantly wrong on core Christian doctrine (related to Jesus and the Trinity), and as a new convert, she is currently running around preaching to people about Christianity. The letters of Paul are extremely clear about preventing new converts from being priests and preachers; this is a very plain example of why. I'd recommend everyone actually watch the whole podcast if you can spare the time; the clips are not adequate Edit: Whatever podcast #210, timestamp 1:29:00, Nala explicitly says Jesus isn't God. When I say she is wildly incorrect about Christian theology, this was probably the most obvious example in the podcast The most basic claim of Christianity is that Jesus is God. If you do not believe that Jesus is God, you are not a Christian. It'd be like if you said you were a Muslim but believed Mohammed was a false prophet; the two claims mutually exclusive

I like that Michael stands by his decision to have her on the podcast regardless of what people think about her.

Yes, I agree that Nala deserves grace the same as we all do. We all fall short of glory.

I would say what people have a bigger issue with is her just freshly converting (if we are to believe her) and making money on Jesus merchandise.

Just claiming you're Christian doesn't immediately mean you're being truthful.

4:05 so far the fruit I’ve seen from a distance is her capitalizing on her “conversion”, not behaving very humbly, speaking about thing theologically she has no business doing, etc. The best thing she could do is disappear, but the same sin of wanting to be seen and heard seems to be at work. People that call this out are not necessarily cheering for her to fail, they’re just warning people who don’t have discernment that they shouldn’t listen to her.
