Today we’re going on an ultimate Syrian food tour in Aleppo! ► Thank you to Rami from Syrian Guides: https://syrianguides.com/ Aleppo Bab Al Ahmar - Located on the outside of Aleppo Citadel you’ll find this traditional Syrian restaurant that specializes in breakfast dishes. Rami and I had a breakfast feast to begin our day with some of the Levantine food classics like hummus and foul, and a special dish called Maamounieh. Total price - 250,000 SYP ($16.66) for everything After breakfast we continued to visit the Aleppo Citadel and Al-Madina Souq. Although so much was destroyed, it’s amazing to see that Aleppo is coming back to life, and people are rebuilding. Within the winding alleys of the market we tried a simple falafel, which was fantastic, but just a start to the next falafel we’d be trying later in the afternoon. We also visited an 800 year old soup factory at Jebeili Soap Factory and ate local Aleppo Syrian kebabs at Abu Dibo Kebab. Cordoba Restaurant (https://maps.app.goo.gl/PsaMAmhjF4Xn72qx5) - One of the greatest restaurants in Aleppo, Syria is Cordoba, famous for their Aleppo cuisine, and especially for serving of the best versions of Kebab karaz - Aleppo sour cherry kebab. Total price - 470,000 SYP ($31.33) for everything Amo Hamido Falafel (https://maps.app.goo.gl/zgmSKmLZSdP46Lug9) - Next up we went to what is probably the most famous and popular Syrian street food spot in Aleppo, known for their giant falafel sandwiches! Price - 15,000 SYP ($1) per sandwich Sujuk Sandwich (https://maps.app.goo.gl/LKfNJpLVrrNBxtg97) - We continued on this Syrian street food tour in Aleppo to eat an Armenian sujuk sandwich, which was extremely tasty. Price - 17,000 SYP ($1.13) per sandwich Abu Hagob Restaurant - Finally we had a dinner at a legendary Armenian Syrian restaurant where they made a meal of many small plates to eat with arak. The kibbeh nayyeh, raw minced lamb and bulgur, was especially delicious. Total price - 250,000 SYP ($16.66) for everything Aleppo, Syria is and always has been a food capital of the world! ► Huge thank you to Rami, from Syrian Guides (https://syrianguides.com/), he arranged my entire trip to Syria. What touched me deeply is that the last falafel shop has this sign, which says „please, if you are in need your order is already paid“ which means that people who can’t afford to buy something to eat they can eat here for free. May god bless the restaurant owner for his kindness ❤❤

at 48:41 there is a sign behind Mark posted where the cashier sits. This sign reads something like that: if you do not have money then you pay nothing Or for heaven's sake! if you are in need then your receipt has been already paid
