My neighbor has a Buick Encore. Two turbos by 40K miles. Engine grenaded at 60K miles. I warned her about buying it, but she refused to listen and now all she can do is drive it to the local grocery store because it's not reliable.
I cringed when you talked about the Buick. My wife has one and loves it. There are no issues yet, and it's always maintained. But I've always been fearful of how it will age. Buick isn't what it used to be.
Had a lunch meeting with a guy a few weeks ago, he pulled up to our office in an SUV of some kind. I got in and it was nicely appointed, leather seats all electric gizmos... then I realized it was a Hyundai. During the course of lunch we talked a little about cars and he mentioned "Im not a car guy, but..". I was thinking Yeah, I knew that.
Hard to understand why anybody would buy ANY GM truck . I mean WTF , between the deactivation BS and the transmissions being junk ... why ?!?
Why are hood ornaments banned for "safety of pedestrians", yet that cybertruck appears to have sharp corners everywhere. Look like they are built by first year high school shop class.
1991 Geo Metro manual 5 speed, 55 to 60 miles a gallon. Loved that little car.
The only time I've seen those tiny pulse vehicles being driven is by the traffic agents here in nyc, they zip around the horrible traffic to seek out and zap "illegally" parked cars with expensive parking tickets.
You are doing a great job. Thank you for informing us!
Still driving my 07 Silverado 2500. 6.0 gas. One of the last great trucks from GM, in my opinion. Mine has alot of miles and still runs great.
Thanks for another well thought out (and accurate/honest) video. Cheers.
