She argued that GOP lawmakers are using transgender children as a political issue ahead of the midterms while refusing to address gun violence, youth mental health, disease outbreaks, food safety, affordability, research cuts and other problems affecting American families. Crockett said lawmakers claiming to protect children are ignoring the threats actually harming them.
