A newly released autopsy report is providing the clearest picture yet of what police say Jacqueline “Mimi” Torres-Garcia endured before her death. Medical examiners documented extreme malnutrition, severe muscle wasting, and found both amphetamine and an antihistamine in the 11-year-old’s system — despite no record she was prescribed either drug. The report ruled her death a homicide caused by fatal child abuse through starvation, findings that now underpin murder and related charges against her mother, aunt, and her mother’s boyfriend.
