As an architect, I'd say we have to also reconsider how and where we build developments. We want to live in a suburban environment, with a 3 car garage, a large backyard, and views of the ocean without considering the risks.

Thanks for having me on the show, Neil! I know there have been a lot of questions swirling regarding how and why the fires have unfolded as they did, in such a truly catastrophic fashion, and I'm glad to be able to offer some deeper context.

Seeing a firefighter bodycam is surreal, so much respect for anyone able to do what they do

Daniel's clear and precise explanations for what causes and how we can minimize the effects of these devastating wildfires is precisely what everyone should be listening to. Those ember-filtering vents alone is a simple yet practical and cheap tool to prevent worse from happening but people might need to consider that nature sometimes just doesn't want us around. Great interview!

Such an interesting and intelligent conversation. When Neil got emotional talking about one of the producers losing his home in the Palisade’s, it made me emotional. So sad. But glad his family is safe.

You can see the genuine emotion in Neil's eyes when talking about his friend loosing their house.
