Why Illiterate Foreign Truck Drivers Are A MUCH Bigger Issue Than You Think | Ep. 1643
Enforcing Trucker Standards and Countering Woke Historical Narratives
Uncover the life-or-death consequences of lax English proficiency testing for commercial truck drivers and analyze the ideological battle over the story America tells itself in its national museums.
Short Summary
- The Trump administration’s English Language Proficiency (ELP) mandate for truckers faces significant non-compliance from Democrat-run states, potentially endangering citizens.
- A fatal Florida Turnpike crash involving an illiterate driver highlights the immediate risks associated with ignoring federal safety guidance.
- The commentary argues that current museum narratives create a self-hating "founding myth" contrary to national pride and historical success.
- The concept of "mankeeping"—women managing male emotional needs—is dismissed as self-serving narcissism preventing healthy marital interdependence. This episode focuses intensely on systemic failures threatening American security and cultural identity. We examine regulatory backsliding on highway safety while dissecting the cultural war waged in institutions like the Smithsonian over historical representation. Readers will gain insight into specific enforcement disparities and the ideological framing behind contemporary gender dynamics.

Matt, please keep talking about this illegal trucking and driving issue. Please continue to bring awareness of this situation until real change is made. You have the platform to help save so many lives.
Trucker here. Thank you for picking up this story repeatedly. You’d never believe the things I’ve seen these guys do. Hold your babies close!
Every bureaucrat and officer who touched this guy's license in any aspect and didn't revoke it should be charged with manslaughter
Us truckers have been screaming about this, and we have been ignored.
I work in the trucking industry and 90 % of the drivers do not speak English and they're foreigners. It's wild, they're literally pricing Americans out of the market
I have a family member that is a CDL Driver. He encounters foreign drivers all the time. They need English speakers to speak into their phones so that their directions are translated into English. These people can't speak or read a word of English but they're driving 18 wheelers all over the country
I was never aware of this problem, until I learned about Teton Pass in Wyoming/Idaho. It’s a dangerous mountain pass that is closed to semis each winter because they can’t make it over the 10% grade icy road. They put up flashing signs, monitor with police, and threaten heavy fines, but every winter the pass is closed twice a week for semis getting stuck. The sheriff came out and said it is always some guy who can’t speak (let alone read) English
I’m thankful for the coverage on this issue. In the last 3 years I’ve come across 5 different semi truck drivers who couldn’t speak any English whatsoever. Yet they had CDLs and were in our roadways. This is dangerous for everyone on the road. Two of the drivers were from Eastern Europe and 3 were from central and South America.
Glad you're addressing this foreign truck driver issue.
God forbid you have to be able to read road signs and understands what a cop says
