As a developer, I'm upskilling to be a plumber next month.
We finally achieved equality — everyone is equally replaceable
The passion these people have to absolutely cook society is crazy
All these AI YouTubers say the EXACT same thing: leverage AI, use it to automate workflows and repetitive tasks. Learn the tools. - There. Saved you 18 minutes.
As a harbor tug captain that almost went into tech, I am making 135k per year with 6 months of vacation. Lucky guess for me but I’m glad I did it.
Being a developer myself, I'm still deciding to whether invest my TIME & ENERGY to keep up, or to completely go into another industry whose core expertise will not be impacted, a simple example, learning the basics of some food processing techniques, from recognising the good raw materials to commercialisation.
This teaching will be remembered after 5 years. Ai literacy is gold mine.
First world problem and the real challenge right now is that no matter which AI tool you're using today, it's already outdated by next week replaced by something newer, faster, and smarter. You're constantly stuck in a cycle of learning instead of creating, with every upgrade demanding your time, attention, and yet another subscription fee.
What exactly do I need to re-skill on?. By the time I learn it there would probably be an AI agent which will be able to do it at a much lesser cost.
