Johnny being secretly smart is actually a nice addition. He was one of the astronauts that is the Fantastic Four. It's just good to know that he was there not just because he's Sue's brother but actually because he has the brains to be there, too.
Its Fantastic.

I loved how Johnny is not just an idiot
This is a multiverse film done right. They keep on throwing us the idea that multiversal stories can do crossovers which gets tiring at this point, but on the opposite end you can also use the multiverse to do an almost standalone film without needing to watch decades worth of marvel content.
I love how they didn't harp on the Ben wanting to be human again, im so tired of that trope. Yes, there is a moment where he looks in the TV looking back but they don't harp on it. Everyone gets their moment to shine, I've always been a human torch fan but goddamn i was more hyped for The Thing in this movie, he looked so different and him being super friendly and accepted just warmed my heart.
I do fuck with it heavy that both Marvel and DC are finally letting a movie breathe without shoving a slew of other shows and movies both past and present. Something self-contained and uncomplicated. That's all you need for a solid movie, period. Not just a comic book movie.
Its not so much that Reed was "pouty" because he couldn't find a solution. The real issue was Reed KNOWS the best solution, but couldn't possibly say it to Sue because it always involves putting Franklin in danger, and after being told in the beginning that Reee being himself sometimes upsets Sue, he is scared about that being the only solution, and is trying so damn hard the whole movie to find literally any other way to solve the problem
When Galactus chooses a herald, he wipes their memories so they don’t turn on him, so when Johnny spoke to her in her language, it sparked back her memories, and she remembered why she’s doing what she’s doing.
9:24 Sue wasn't originally about to give birth, when they arrived on the ship Galactus put her into labour so he could get Franklin without him dying.
