Putin and the late Khamenei made the same strategic mistake: they absorbed pressure for too long. Restraint became predictable. Predictability killed deterrence. Ukraine, backed by America and Europe, is doing to Russia now what Israel, backed by America, did to Iran , gradual, step by step escalation, always testing the next red line, always moving one level higher when no real cost follows. At some point, caution stops looking like wisdom and starts teaching the enemy that escalation is safe.

Eternally ordinary people die and suffer because of rich families, royal families and the oligarchy that fights for even more wealth, for even more power because they are mental and moral patients who should be treated instead of given power! All these stories and lies about the endangerment of peoples must be exposed as invented in order to mobilize peoples and turn them against each other! Villains with money and power are the enemies of every common man on the entire planet, and have been so since time immemorial!

Without Ukraine, they probably move to fighting Russia around Kaliningrad and at sea. But I agree. They should move in a firmer way against Ukraine. End the war.

I don't see a path out of this war without the cost of this war hitting Western Oligarchs in their wallets in a very big way.

Security analyst Jakob Kedmi has made it clear that Kiev can be completely forced to surrender with "one well-aimed drone-missile strike". If the "right targets" are eliminated, Kiev will be massively abandoned after 48 hours. The same applies to every major city in the UA. "One strike" is enough and the war is over. Why Putin doesn't want to do it is a question only for Putin.

Let us not forget that this is a war provoked by the USA, against Russia, on Ukrainian territory. As long as the USA citizens have not had a war ON THEIR LAND, they will keep on creating wars all over the war

I have always said it is ridiculous that Russia not only refuses to take out the Ukranian government. They actively protect its officials while allowing them to travel freely for 5 years. It is dumb to let your enemy travel to Europe so they can war plan and raise money/weapons. Has anyone ever heard of such a dumb plan ever in history?

Brian Berletic from The New Atlas regularly cites a policy paper entitled, "Extending Russia, Competing From Advantageous Ground", written by J Dobbins and others published by the RAND Corporation, a "Think Tank" located in California, in 2019. It discusses virtually EVERYthing put into practice that is discussed in this paper, along with plans for Central Asia, the Caucasus, and other former Soviet satellites to apply pressure on Russia, and supporting groups from within Russia, to weaken it and cause its ultimate collapse. It's worth reading, along with "A Path To Persia", for those interested. It's a free download. Thank you, Prof Diesen for your analysis, interviews, journalism, and work. Best wishes...
