Description

Why do frontier language models consistently experience cognitive collapse when forced to model a user's subjective epistemic horizon? In this video, we dissect the mechanics of perspective leakage: the systemic flaw where autoregressive context windows violate causal boundaries by conflating objective reality with localized, unobserved belief states. We break down the mathematical implementation of UserHarness, a hybrid inference-time scaffold that decouples raw probabilistic generation capacity from the discrete state transitions of a perception-belief-action loop. Watch to explore why genuine machine mentalizing is not an emergent property of parameter scale, but a structural consequence of externalized epistemic boundaries. All rights w/ authors: UserHarness: Harnessing User Minds for Stronger Agent Theory-of-Mind Cheng Qian, Jiayu Liu, Heng Ji from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign #aiexplained #airesearch #scienceexplained #machinelearning

RLHF’ing on social media engagement is a great way to emulate dopaminergics

Sounds exactly like what I am building in gopher-bot. Just waitint to hear how you do the memory substrate and if you use LLM's as interchangeable inferrence organs

I have to disagree with you about user self descriptions. Our life memories are still far more accurate than AI predictions, and as individuals, this may be one of our only moats. Gamifying the process by using a dynamic character sheet similar to those used in RPGs, makes detailing the granularity a lot of fun. This creates biographic data that companies like Meta could only dream of.

This will be amazing for self-stalking! This is going to suck in the hands of the government and palentir.

Interesting idea only for the fact that this is not how the brain works at all
