Zuck's glasses is probably running a real-time search engine on Dwarkesh's question and trying to wing through the interview.
Zuck was in Washington last week at the capitol answering questions from the ftc about breaking up meta due to it being a monopoly. Hes just doing pr now. He was on theo von previously
We start as a family, find community, disagree with family, fall out with friends, resent mainstream society, we go into online bubbles, and then rifts form in these narrow chambers.. we need an even smaller bubble, just me, and "you", my AI, the only one that truly gets me, the only one that effortlessly understands me. Stay vigilant, boys.
I'm reluctant to run his verbal code on my wetware, however much I enjoy your podcast.
There isn't anyone more disconnected from reality.
Recommend reading “Careless People” to everyone bothering to give this guy any time.
Remember this is the guy who burned thru $65B building the metaverse everyone was supposed to use.
That was the most nuanced way of calling him out on the “billion active users on llama.” Dwarkesh is nice with it.
Key points from the interview: - Dont worry, AI wont take your job - You can decide if you want to work or not - We billionaires are the good guys and work for you
When Zuck mentioned his north star I thought "Connecting scammers with old people".
