Now she runs World Labs, where she just raised $1 billion to teach AI something it still can't do: understand physical space. She sat down with me and David Rogier, CEO of Masterclass, who codes his own work tools now instead of buying software (his to-do app auto-deletes anything that sits on the list longer than a day and a half). We get into what AI can already do and what it still can't, why the two loudest takes on AI β€” that it'll save the world, and that it'll take all the jobs β€” are both wrong, and what your kids' schooling and your own career actually look like in 10 years. Yes, language-only models are insufficient for AI to reason about space, interact with environments and generate 3D representations. The discussion was outstanding. Thank you for hosting this event Marina !! πŸ˜β€οΈπŸ‘

Hi, I follow every episode this one was excellent. As a suggestion, I find one-on-one interviews significantly more insightful than group conversations. Focusing on a single guest allows for a much deeper exploration of their background, technical journey, startup experience, and scientific expertise. With profiles like Dr. Fei-Fei Li or David Rogier, that level of depth would bring even greater value to the audience. I’d love to see more individual interview formats in the future.

You really did an awesome job. All of you. It was crystal clear to me that each of you agreed to make every last effort possible to help all of us engage AI. Please share the many different ways that you all humanized AI. I could say so much more but please continue to share in the way that you did on this video. Very very well done!!! We need your voices to get through this!!!

We are receiving so many mixed messages about AI that it's becoming very confusing. We seem to be standing at a crossroads in human civilization, facing one of the most significant technological shifts in history. Yet no one truly knows where this change will lead. It could bring tremendous benefits, or it could create serious challenges. At this point, the future impact of AI remains uncertain, and that uncertainty is what makes this moment both exciting and unsettling.

Creativity is what we should be encouraging our kids to more of and stop telling them to fall inline like the old school factory line process they’d been around for decades

When was this answered? "In 10 Years There Will Be Only 2 Kinds of Workers" I had this on for the whole video. I didn't hear when it was answered.

It sounds like everyone will be a winner with AI

An addition to this wonderful conversation - fei fei talks about the richness of intelligence - I’d add acoustic/audible intelligence - musical intelligence - which in itself can be seen as a combination of language - even polyphonic language to be exact - layered with all other types mentioned - spatial, physical, emotional, etc. the linear combination of intelligence dimensions across an experience - of producer and consumer - that is nature in its finest choreography of the human element.
