Even more terrifying: The Shoebills make that sound when they're happy and especially when they see someone they like. So they greet their favorite people with actual machine gun noises.

As the person with the least points, you’re dearest viewer, I’d like to give my losers speech. I gave this episode a valiant effort and I’d say it worked out for me. 2 is the most points I’ve earned thus far so I can’t even be mad about losing. Thank you boys for another amazing episode, I am off to bed (watching 2 more hours of this podcast)

I just have to say... my 10 month old kitten (who is sitting on my desk) looked around VERY confused when Wade impersonated a loon and my year old kitten (who is in the window above my desk) looked positively irate when Bob impersonated it 🤣🤣🤣

Fun fact, as scary as shoebills look, they are actually huge softies! They love humans and are incredibly friendly (within reason, of course). Shoebills in captivity are incredibly friendly and gentle with their handlers and are super cooperative. And that horrifying machine gun clacking noise they make? They do that when they're happy. A terrifying animal, but one of the friendliest wild animals you'll ever meet :)

Cassowaries and shoebills are examples of birds that feel the need to constantly remind people that they're dinosaurs.

"Its chill" Bob, saying a Cassowary is chill when they're just JP raptors IRL. No, not chill lol

Omfg I love Shoebill Storks! They're VERY endangered, there are only a few hundred of them left. They are very chill with humans and will even return a bow, if you bow at them! The beak clacking that sounds like an AK-47 is their primary mode of communication! The Shoebill in that video seems very agitated, hence why it is also screeching, along with the rapid clacking. They're also surprisingly short for how intimidating they look, only reaching like 4-5 feet at most. Amazing creatures :) correction: Actually more like 3000 left lol. So, more 'vulnerable' than endangered. Still concerning, I don't want these cool muppet birds to go away. i know nobody asked but I fucking love these birds.

Fun fact about Shoebills; While they look and sound terrifying, they're actually fairly friendly birds. Cassowaries on the other hand are pissed-off murder machines. Do not approach.
