Please dude atleast let me graduate in peace.
Career path 2026: 1. Junior Dev 2. Senior Dev 3. Roy
from learning to code to learning to weld
"some of you may die, and that is a sacrifice i am willing to make" - senior devs
Something about devs that had it insanely easy getting jobs by just mass applying saying "What you thought you would just get a job by applying? What are you stupid?" Is so obnoxious
been looking for 1.5 years, have adjusted my resume multiple times, not a single interview
Ignoring the 10 years of debugging, troubleshooting, deploying, etc. is very shortsighted. Sure, that person's experience in that blackberry code is wasted, but the person inevitably learned and honed useful skills that they will need on the next project.
Me recordó cuando hace un par de años decían que iban a dejar de contratar séniors por qué los juniors con IA iban a ser mucho más baratos
I was in the position to find devs to help on a project a couple times. It's hard to describe the value of connections to people you trust being very important. It didn't personally hit me until I had to do it myself. There are so many people out there who are just trying to milk your company of money before being fired and moving on to another employer. It really complicates the process and takes time that the company doesn't always have for you to take.
Feeling very excited and energized, thanks for the great content!
