People lost their moral compass. So many who think they're the good guys support the most corrupt president in our history.
If nobody is above the law, why are judges not holding these people on contempt charges with jail time? If it were you or me we'd be in jail already.
When the USA decided to make news into entertainment that didn't need to strive for truth and accuracy then you were lost. Decades of chasing ratings and passing off opinion as fact to the American public fertilised the ground for Traitor Trump. He's the symptom, not the disease.
He wasn't a billionaire until he became president. It's important to keep this in mind.
What’s wrong with interrupting a worship service? I grew up in an abusive church. I would have been grateful if adults had protested on my behalf. Civil disobedience is about weighing risk against benefit. I vouch for interrupting services over packing people into dangerous conditions against their will and without due process
Not to s**t on Americans, but as a brit my "team" is the one without rapists, racists and pedophila. If you're okay with those things because it's your political party doing them, you're f**king disgusting
I found myself nodding in agreement vigorously throughout this whole conversation. :D It's so wonderful to listen to a coolheaded analysis of the situation; neither Mona nor David were panicking, but they definitely weren't sugarcoating anything either, and they also discussed ways of GETTING OUT of the mess the US is currently in. Not to mention the decency and integrity they both show. Thank you!
Great points throughout, thank you both
I have really enjoyed many of the recent columns by Mr. French. Good analysis of the current moment.
I just saw Mona Charen on The Atlantic podcast today with Frum. First time here.
