Thank You! I'm a boomer and have been saying this for 10 yrs now. I remember when my generation said these same things about the politicians that came before us. We want a country to move with the times and the old guard needed to go. I never thought I'd see a generation willing to be lead by the geriatric crowd that is not functioning to full mental capacity. It's scary, dangerous, and downright embarrassing.
The scary thing about electing older people is that we know they’re not really doing the work. It’s the unelected officials in the background that are actually running things l. We don’t know who they are.
I think there is a difference between people who obviously have health issues and people that get out campaign, hold long rallys, and show the energy to lead. Let's remember Fetterman isn't old yet holds elected office.
I turn on C-Span and when I see our congress I feel like I am watching an episode of The Walking Dead. Age and term limits are needed so badly it is ridiculous.
All of the older senators have very healthy pensions and benefits. They do not have to keep working that late in life. They are only there out of greed.
"I'm going to Florida on Saturday morning... Where am I going now?" One of the most unintentionally funny things I've ever heard. :)
They all need to leave. Term limits? We need age limits. This has to end. A guy at my job just retired because he knew he wasn’t as sharp, and didn’t wanna be handling people’s money if he couldn’t do it to his best ability. He’s only 71, but he’s just self aware of human aging.
