I have noticed that the Toyota dealerships while claiming to be performing routine maintenance on the new vehicles, covered under warranty for 24 months, are not actually doing it, but billing it to toyota, and cheating the customers and their company. Not nice.

Nice thing about my mazda dealership is that they email you a video while you wait, detailing their inspection of brakes, tires, brake fluid etc...

My Toyota dealership has been telling me for the last 150,000 miles that my water pump is going out on my tundra. LoL

Yeah, my local Toyota dealership charges $180 for their hourly rate, have a common practice of recommending services like it’s a McDonalds menu, and actually not fixing issues. Most dealerships are truly the work of the devil and need to be put out of business

Point is ............Never take your car to a dealership for anything other than recalls.

I had a bad alternator on my Honda Accord. Honda wanted $700 for a new one. I went to a place that rebuilds them and they charged me $75 no tax. That alternator lasted until I scraped the car many years later..

I called the dealership where I bought my new 2025 Toyota and spoke with a Service Department Manager. I asked him if it was an absolute requirement to use 0W8 Full Synthetic Motor Oil, or could I use 0W16 Full Synthetic Motor Oil, since I live in a sub-tropical climate. The Service Department Manager stated I should absolutely not use 0W16 engine oil, but to only use 0W8 engine oil. I said, "Very good, but I will be changing the oil every 5,000 miles, instead of 10,000 miles." He said that if I changed my oil at 5,000 miles, instead of 10,000 miles, that I would void my Toyota warranty. I told him that makes no sense, how can that void my warranty if I change it earlier. He said, "I am annotating this phone conversation in your 2025 Toyota service file." I asked what does that mean. He said, if you have an issue with your engine, we WILL deny your warranty, because you are changing your oil too early. How does that sound coming from a Service Department Manager at a Toyota Dealership?! These people at Toyota don't know that I am a retired equipment mechanic for over 30 years. Such liars.
