M7.3 Earthquake Mexico 07/17/26. Bad News for California...

A magnitude 7.3 earthquake with numerous M5.0+ aftershocks has just struck Mexico near the border of Guatemala. NOAA has issued a tsunami threat for the event. This comes just a few weeks after a M7.2 and M7.5 earthquake doublet struck Venezuela just nearby on June 24th 2026 to deadly and destructive effect.
