Hi Stefan. As I've said. It was October 17, 1989. I was at Kaiser Hospital on Geary Avenue, San Francisco. As Charge in the top-floor ICU, CCU. Our 16 beds were full. It was the early evening. It was like King Kong shook the entire building. Hard. There were already crises going on within the unit. I went to our sickest patient, who was getting a streptokinase infusion for a heart attack. The TV was on, Bay Bridge had collapsed. The patient said, "My son is on the Bay Bridge coming to see me." A pale nurse came to me and grabbed my arm. She said. "I have to go home." Her patient was a one-to-one. If she went home, her patient would die. I told her no. We are much better prepared this time. Thank you, Stefan, for your show. Rob. Oh. His son was OK.
