I'm Malaysian but am so in awe of Indonesian cuisine coz its an extremely diverse cuisine in all aspects like the very local ingredients used, the immense ammount of endemic knowledge involved, the long precolonial history and philophosy of even the most humble-looking street foods, the ever-so creative continuous food invention and innovation... among others
Finally, the time has come for the Indonesia series! Welcome back, Mark!
No other country in the world comes close to Indonesia’s food greatness! I am from Singapore. Had foods in Europe and whatnot. But Indonesia is simply Number 1!!!

Considering how much Americans love peanut sauce, I think we should have more Indonesian restaurants
I noticed many Americans love our peanut sauce, and they are always surprised when yhe found out it's our version of "peanut butter", back in 2003 when i was studying in Texas, we had a cultural week at the campus, we Indonesian student serve Sate Ayam at our food booth, and they went crazy, specially the peanut sauce.. many called it heavenly
That duck is masterpiece. You can tell that Mark loves Indonesian cuisine. Incredible flavor, textures, and variety. Thanks again Mark for introducing to this generation many of the world's great but lesser-known cuisines.
But indeed, Indonesian food is the best food in the world. So much flavors! There's nothing like it!
