As a Singaporean, all of the foods you have recommended are great but my fondest memory is of my dad enjoying your videos. You see, he suffered from cancer and couldn't eat much, but seeing you enjoy your food always brought a smile to his face. Towards the end, we wouldn't talk much but just spent time watching you introduce and enjoy local cuisines from Thailand to India. Thank you for bringing joy to my dad and bringing me memories of him I will cherish always

I used to live in HK so Singapore was an easy trip. On one occasion we were in Singapore for a wedding. Most of our party were staying at hotels - we stayed with family - went to the golf club for a buffet. However, My Polish friend, his Singaporean wife and I spent the day 'sampling' the treats on Orchard Road and beyond. Unbelievably excellent food. Praatha and curry sauce for breakfast, with an egg on top, Nasi Goreng with a few beers at midday, Wonton noodle soup for an afternoon snack and then Singapore rice noodles and Hokkien Mee Singaporean style for dinner. HK has, or used to have, outstanding street food. However, Singapore's offerings are superlative (apart from the lack of Chau Dofu).
