I am 75 years old. I was there with my 87-year-old apolitical friend who asked me to go with her. She said, "This is out civic duty. Our presence is our statement."
Favorite sign at no kings-10 yr old kid w/sign -"I'll clean up my room when you clean up that mess in Washington."
No kings on Saturday was my first time public protest. First time in 74 years. Looking forward to no Kings 4.
My rally was in Sedona, AZ. Oddly one person in a car asked me how much they were paying me. I asked her where that was coming from. She said that it was clear we were all busses in because the signs we carried were all the same. I told her mine was made at my dining room table. Then said have you really looked at the signs...hardly any were the same and the extrodinary variety spoke for itself. I moved on shaking my head. You can't fix stupid
No kings was a success because i live in northern Wisconsin, i went with my lgbtq daughter and it was just a huge relief to be reminded that we're not alone
We had a wonderful woman sing "America the Beautiful" at our 300 strong No Kings in Monroe, Louisiana very inspiring!
We need a class action suit to sue Trump for emotional distress!
I took my daughter to this No kings in Portland. I didn’t on the first two because 🧊 was here in Oregon tear-gassing our frogs. I was afraid we would be attacked but we weren’t. I took her to all the protest I attended during this idiot’s first term. All the No Kings have been so peaceful & filled with community, different age groups that it felt great to be able to bring her with me again. She was floored at how many thousands of people were there marching. Truly a core memory She was excited to tell her social studies teacher she was there fighting for democracy.
Over 3,000 attended here in Grand Junction, Colorado.. I find it especially heartening since this area is responsible for Lauren Boebert 1.0 being a thing.
