I'm honestly shocked that 60min is still managing to squeek out truthful stories. Glad someone there is still fighting the fight.

This is how missionaries engage with native peoples. They take advantage of someone's situation and use that opportunity to spread their views.

I live in the middle of WNC Helene disaster areas. The number of fake videos stating there were 1000s of dead bodies, FEMA wasn't available, people were getting no help, etc, were all lies. They would drive in, film their videos, create havoc, then leave, having created their chaos and distrust of the people who were there to help - government and organized volunteer organizations. FEMA was on site within hours. Helicopters were constantly flying for weeks, as soon as it was safe, to drop in supplies. Military units, ex 101st Airborne, were there as soon as they could get here because roads were closed. Other states sent DOT crews to help clear and repair roads. And people believed the lies. My neighbors were disgusted that Duke Power hadn't restored their power within 24 hours, and panicked over turning their water back on. They asked what I planned to do (we went almost 3 weeks without electricity and running water). When I told them to follow the regs from the city and county, they responded they didn't trust the government - I responded that I didn't know what to tell them because that is what I was doing.

Reporters should ask these influencers who is funding their campaigns. Follow the money trail. They aren’t forming these gangs for kicks and giggles.

i mean, their conspiracy bunk is *almost* right, as there is an industrial 'weapon' which affects the weather that is regularly contributing to the frequency and severity of these natural disasters it's just that it's not some dinky little weather-detecting tower, it's the coal and oil plants ruining local water supplies and collectively cooking the planet you ever watch the water move and swirl when it starts heating up in a pot on the stove? atmospheric currents do something pretty damn similar when they start heating up too
