Former vegetarian and vegan for 15+ years, almost only eating plants for the rest of my life due to the propaganda... Now full carnivore and happier than ever! I define junk food as anything that contains plants since they're devoid of nutrients and full of toxins. π―π₯©πͺ
64 yrs here Carnivore 1 year and had horrific health issues and am stunned daily how quickly my body is healing despite my addiction to carbs and sugar. I wish I knew all of this years ago. My brain is crazy good again. May go back to school to finish my doctorate. Thank you Dr Chaffee for all you do for us. I GeT it Now. β€β€β€β€β€
You know what I appreciate the most from you and your channel? You don't try to sell a bunch of crap every 5 minutes or get me to sign up for something. You come across genuinely caring and wanting to help people. Your passion is infectious! I utilize several of your shorter videos to help friends and family start to get some education on Carnivore and the way the body actually works. Please don't stop what you do as it's one of the few "strong" pushes for a good way to eat and stop this unhealthy train continuing to go off the rails. I had a severe blood clot (2ft long) and almost lost my leg. Found out I was Type 2 Diabetic (A1C 9.2) and very unhealthy. Within 4 months that dropped to 5.3... not to mention Triglycerides and all other markers falling into place. Can you put a price on saving someone's life just by sharing and caring what you know? Truly blessed to have found your site.
Meat is digested in the stomach with strong acid, while plants are fermented in the gut. If you only eat plants, you donβt need high stomach acid, so your body stops making it. This becomes a problem if you start eating meat again because you wonβt have enough acid to digest it. The fix is to gradually increase meat consumption so your stomach acid production ramps up again. You also need bile to digest animal fats. If youβre not eating fat, your bile flow slows, bile thickens into sludge and gallstones can form. When you suddenly reintroduce fat, you may not digest it well because your bile ducts can be blocked. To get bile flowing again, bile salts and gradually increasing animal fat can help. Bile is released from the gallbladder when you eat fat and itβs not just for fat digestion. Bile salts also act as a natural intestinal lubricant and mild laxative, keeping stool soft and triggering the muscular contractions that move waste along. Low bile output makes stool drier, harder and slower to pass. If youβre sensitive to histamine, source non-hung/aged meat straight from a slaughterhouse. A plant-based, low-animal-fat diet is not good for long-term health, despite whatβs promoted. Humans are designed to eat meat and animal fats. Things start breaking down when we donβt.
Im a 57 woman, was vegan, vegetarien for 20-25 years, and even when I ate some meat it was only chicken and fish and only a couple of times a week. And because not only I loved animals and tried to be as kind to the environment as I could be, I was also health conscious, so I ate whole foods and when possible organic. Ok, occassionly I ate bad stuff, like I had a sweet tooth, but I ate clean during the week, and allowed myself treats on the weekend, one day or sometimes two. I ended up insulin resistant and with SIBO, and lost heaps of muscle. Now 3 months carnivore, I have flat stomach, muscle hasnt increased yet, but I guess I just cant eat enough yet. But overall, my energy levels are awesome, no after meal dips, I sleep heaps better and just in general feel tons better. I want my muscles back, and continue on this healing journey because it is awesome how I feek
I am 74 and 2 months on the carnivor diet. I been a vegan for 3 years. I feel much better although my artritis is still in my body.
No toothpaste for 18 months. Oil pulling only. Gum and tooth decay problems resolved.
I grew up vegan and was in a wheelchair by my 30s. I was 315# and no number of vitamins helped. I did keto for 10 years thanks to my endocrinologist. I dropped 180# but my health issues did not fix as they expected. I went on paleo due to another dr telling me i can't do keto long term. In less than a year i regained 70# even tho i was at a calorie deficit. That led me to carnival and i struggled to regain control and get into ketosis for many months. I thought i would never get back where I had been but i started notocing breaks in my symptoms when i was eating the full carnivore. That helped me focus. I really hoped for fast weight loss like i got on keto. I am 4 months in and only down 10#. But i will do this forever just to keep my pain and migraines gone.
At the gym to βringβ in 2026 and listening to Dr. Chaffee. The man is such a wealth of knowledge and inspirational. He definitely gives me strength in his carnivore journey. Blessings to him and everyone out there who live and teach the proper human diet.
for any woman who is suffering with "perimenopause" or "menopause," recommend reading Dr. Elizabeth Bright's books. In particular "Good Fat is Good for Women, Menopause." It would be good for the male carnivore docs to read as well.
