As an adult with Autism, that has a problem with connecting brain to Tongue. I have found that if I’m only eating meat it help but it took awhile. I don’t like to eat the fat with protein in meat, I have to separate it. Using butter as a dipping sauce works well. Carbs and sugar will cause compleat disconnect in my ability to access words, especially names, and trying to speak them becomes hard if on plant heavy diet. I have experimented on myself. I am addicted to sugar and carbs I wish I could be locked up and feed only meat for 90 days, And see what happens. It takes awhile don’t give up.
I have three autistic kids, and I was diagnosed last year. My middle child is the most severe and non verbal. We’ve been eating mostly carnivore for the last several months (and low carb for around 4 years now) , with my nonverbal child strict carnivore. I’ve definitely seen some positive results, and I’m hoping to see continued improvement. No miracles yet. My son hasn’t suddenly started speaking. But any improvement is a good thing, as far as I’m concerned.❤
Of all the conditions I face as a Metabolic Health Practitioner I find Autiism the most difficult to navigate. I could feel your caution too. Agree entirely with the content and your approach, thank you.
Because every video could be a first video for someone who is trying to heal themselves, I will be posting this on every video I watch on this topic. The benefits I’ve enjoyed since adopting the Carnivore way of eating (in no particular order): Excess weight gone, improved sleep, mental clarity, able to remember why I went into another room, varicose veins disappeared, sun and stove burns don’t hurt and are gone the next day, hardly any plaque and no bleeding gums at the dentist, rosacea gone, acne gone, mood improvement, joint pain gone, cravings gone, ankle swelling gone, cracked heels gone, and I never feel “hangry”
If an autistic child is not keen eating any meat or animal product, try and add raw egg yolk and/or cultured cream to whatever they drink. Even if they drink fruit juice (because autistic kids prefer carbs, sugar, starch), you can mix into pretty much any drink some raw egg yolk, and you can gradually increase the amount. Raw egg yolk is super easy to digest, literally the body absorbs it as it is. As you increase the amount of egg yolk, you will already see changes, I know that, been there with my used to be autistic son. Homemade meat stock is an absolute must, try and have it every meal time. Even if your child is only into starchy food, you can cook for example rice in the meat stock instead of water, or do it as baby steps, once the rice is cooked in salty water, add a teaspoon of meat stock in it. And gradually increase it. Try and stop all the scratchy food, sugary food, even all the raw fruit and veg if your child ate any. Step by step, not as a sudden change. And try and introduce more meat, eggs, fat. The key is to do baby steps. 1 year full carnivore/no-plants GAPS in a few days time for our son and us, parents, he is almost completely healed by now. Still has some motor tics, but way less. One by one every single symptom dissapeared. Autistic kid's gut health is completely wrecked, so they need meat stock and homemade probiotics drinks to heal them. And lots of meat and animal products. It is important to know, that fried meat is not great for them, so steak, burger etc are not great to start with. Meat has to be cooked in your meat stock first. As a fried or bbq meat is difficult to digest with compromised gut health. We have to cook the meat and also drink the liquid fist. And for nutrients as the easiest fists step is adding raw egg yolk and/or cultured cream to your child's drink, if dairy is well tolerated. 2-6 raw egg yolks per day is ideal for a child, 4-8 raw egg yolk for an adult at least. Make sure the egg is organic, pasture raised. We successfully reached the level when our son happily eats grass fed ribeye steak that is almost completely raw, just a little sear on both side. This is the best way to get even more nutrients, once the gut is happy with it. There is a step by step protocol to heal autism from Dr Natasha Campbell McBride, we follow the no plants version, which is carnivore diet, but with deep explanation how to make the food, why fried food is not good first, etc, and why we have to consume homemade probiotics daily, like kefir, yogurt (can be hidden in many food first), to heal the gut and digestion, balance microbiome. There are multiple success stories of healed autistic kids. The sooner we start the healing, the better. The results are way better that way.
Dr Chaffee, it would be great for you to connect with RFK jr soon. He is well versed in the food industry and dangers to our kids. He could use your expertise and input

Dr. Chafee is definitely a pioneer. This nightmare we're in right now is a complete disaster. I can't even talk to people about diet anymore because of the way they attack me and mock me.
For other autism parents, what I did when I shifted originally to gluten casein and soy-free was to make those individual favorite meals gluten casein and soy-free. So I started with the breakfast food and then maybe there was a yogurt that I shifted to non-dairy yogurt and then I did pastas which she used to eat and got an allergen free version of those. That took out the addictive foods and then added in less addictive ones. That opened up her pallet to then allow in other foods. Because gluten casein and soy can act on the opioid receptors in the brain. Its a drug. So getting my kid off of those drugs more or less help open up her diet to other things. Then I switched her to paleo so then she didn't have any dairy or grains. It was meats and vegetables and bone broth and some fruit. At the moment she has sunflower seed butter on Paleo pancakes I make using coconut flour and eggs and coconut oil water and I put some cocoa powder. Then i also give her eggs. But it's to the point now where she loves eating meat of all kinds and eggs. Particularly meet though. If I just fed her tons of meet I think she would be happy. So let somebody could do is create something similar if they can or remove the main allergens like that in order to get them not so addicted so that they will be more open. Dr Natasha Campbell McBride has the guts and psychology syndrome diet. It's closer to a ketogenic diet. But in the book there is information about how to get your child to take these new foods for autistic kids. Betsy Hicks wrote a book called Picky Eaters or something similar to that. She and her now deceased husband worked with autistic children, so they have strategies too.
