I want to see something saying the leadership of that city was screaming from the mountain top to everyone from county up to state and federal level that they had a problem and needed help. I haven’t seen that yet.

It would be cheaper to provide water filters/pitchers for drinking and cooking. Showering and dish washing can use non-potable water.
