As a retired high school teacher, I can tell you that classes in Los Angeles schools were and are still overcrowded. Yes, I would have appreciated more pay, but I would have first used funding to decrease class size. Students do so much better when they don't have to compete for attention, when their teachers aren't overwhelmed by classes in the 40's, and by the enormous amount of paperwork that needs to be graded and annotated.

As a Canadian, we hope things get better and you can take back your country. We will be waiting when you do.

Proper parenting (not helicopter parenting) and education are seriously two BASE things that are incredibly critical to having more well adjusted children who have better ability to critically think and not be conned or manipulated so easily in life and as adults.
