Every woman I've dated recently had almost nothing to offer in terms of improving my life or building a life together. Little to no cooking ability, no eagerness in do-it-yourself crafts, no interest in any home-making skills whatsoever. Even worse than that, their awareness of healthy decision-making for the sake of themselves and their kids was either absent or just dire. I understand why they're like this, but I can't bring myself to work on fixing them when the marriage game is so stacked against men in the courts. Edit below: To all the women replying some variation of 'Why d'you need a woman to do those things for you, stop being lazy and do them yourself' You've entirely missed the point: I can. I already do all those things. I cook. I clean. I fix things. I can take care of myself. A lot of men can. Nowadays lot of women can't or don't in a relationship. So where's the incentive? Relationships don't survive on just the idea of love. there needs to be substance behind it. There needs to be reciprocity. That give-and-take is essential when building a life together. I'll keep looking, and I'm sure I'll find the right one, maybe to marry even, I'm just saying from a male perspective what matters to us and what men have looked for in partners for as long as marriage has been a thing.

Working-class women no longer want to marry working-class men. Working-class women assume they can marry up into the upper middle-classes, however this doesn't happen and therefore average earning men are invisible to them. Ask working-class women the income they want their husband to earn is over 100k.

I heard two women in a cafe this morning loudly discussing the asset split one should get when divorcing her husband. The other was already divorced with two children hanging off of her. 70/30 - “because he works all the time, so he can make it up”. It was just disgusting.

The cost of risk for men is too high. Between the consequences of divorce, having your kids taken away from you, and the difficulty of keeping modern women satisfied, marriage is only worth it if you can be with someone that you genuinely desire and want to spend your life with. And most men are not so lucky.

It’s called hypergamy. A poll of graduating med students found that newly mented male doctors described their dating options as expanding. New female doctors described their dating options as seriously contracting.

The only winning move is not to play.

Men becoming financially stable is the key factor in marrying young. It is not currently an option for most men.

For men who with money, there's too much risk. For the men without money, there's not enough interest.
