My daughter had a torn bicep and needed rotary cuff surgery. She had to wait 2 weeks for a scan appt. Then insurance took another week to approve the scan. Waited 2 more weeks for the surgery. The doctor did the rotary cuff surgery but forgot to do the torn bicep surgery. She had to miss more work, almost lost her job, and had to wait weeks thru the same slow process! In addition, she told the doctor she was severely allergic to dermabond. What happened then? He used dermabond and had to get emergency care due to inside and out inflammatiom, swelling, terrible hives inside and outside her body and her throat was closing and had to have emergency care, hospitalized, and treatment until it subsided. They could not remove the dermabond because it dissolves. It was horrible! Docs and his team do not listen! She still had to pay for all this in which he shouldn't have charged her. But it seems Dermabond causes these problems on many patients.
The best anti-anxiety medication isn't a bottle of pills, it's a gym membership.
Best thing for my health was moving to Mexico. I get my own blood tests, scans, dental work, and keep all my own records. Opened my eyes to how much control I can actually have on my health. Private care is affordable. Doctors' visits are at least an hour and cost $35.00.

I've been what I've called "medication trials" for "bipolar" since I was 20, now I am 34 and live with neurological damage from the side effects of antipsychotics and lamictal (which is an antiseizure medication they use for mood stablizers off lable). I discovered 2 years ago when I went off birth control that I do not have bipolar, I have PMDD. Not a single psychiatrist asked me about my cycles. Not a single one! At one point I was on 7 medications, 4 of which were to manage the side effects, which once I had those side effects, I should have been taking off that medication immediately, but because I wasn't, I still live with the movement disorder and seizure-like symptoms, to a point I can't drive anymore. Psychiatrists MUST do a involuntary movement test while prescribing antipsychotics, I never had one do one until years after the damage was already done. The whole psychiatric system is a efing scam.
I wish this dude luck. Hopefully he at least builds some inroads to a better system.
Love this talk. Reminded me of news I saw recently on "Korean scientists unveil technology that reverts cancer cells to normal" and what a world we live in when you see that the top comments are people saying, "please don't get on a plane together" and/or "these people must be protected at all costs or big pharma will come after them to protect their profits"
We all know the system is broken. Will anybody ever fix it? Is it fixable? The only solution I can think of is just don't get sick.
