Truth #1 is the hardest to accept because of how dopamine works — your brain doesn't reward you for finding direction, it rewards you for searching. So being 'lost' actually feels comfortable neurologically. Your dopamine system is addicted to the seeking itself, not the finding. That's why people stay lost for years even when the answer is right in front of them.
