Pinko was an insult used during the McCarthy era for anyone perceived as a communist sympathizer or even vaguely left-leaning. Liberals, social democrats, union supporters, artists, academics, etc. It's not that different from how ‘socialist’ or ‘communist’ get thrown around today. You just don’t hear ‘pinko’ much anymore, especially post-USSR. By the 1970s and 1980s it was largely considered outdated, appearing occasionally in political commentary. But during the Red Scare, late 1940s through the 1950s, it was like the Diet Coke of communism. You weren’t a full-blown communist (Coca-Cola), but you had a bit of red on you (Diet Coke), and so you were a Pinko.
The Legion are actually using the proper classical Latin pronunciations for words.
Victor is the NPC who basically sets off the events of fallout new Vegas by saving the player character in the game intro, for you tv fans out there, you’ve met a bonified mojave legend. And PRIMM, pretty sure the forces back east the Rangers referred to was the Mojave outpost, maybe a force on the long 15! So many cool places they could take this.
10:15 That is actually the true origin of BOS. Explained in Fallout 1. The Military base in California mentioned is the Mariposa Military Base.
14:55 Victor is the best robot in the game! He literally saves you in the first five minutes!
Probably my favorite episode of Season 2 so far. It felt like a Fallout quest
I like how Kumail Nanjiani was brought in bc he is a likable person irl but he stays true to how the Brotherhood operates in this universe. What better way to mess with the audience than having him mow down a bunch of youth
Cant blame Culkin for his hiatis in his career. His father was trying to live through him that he got burn out from acting.
The Commonwealth has all of the leverage. There was no need to be secretive.
17:56 this is typical side-quest dialogue prompts from the games, whoever is writing this show is doing absolute justice to the franchise lol
