Description

*Can the natural world point toward God without proving God exists?* Celia Deane-Drummond argues that wonder and wisdom in nature serve as pointers toward divine reality — not proofs, but signals that begin to speak once someone already approaches the world with belief or openness to God. 0:00 Wonder and Wisdom in Creation 2:10 Why Science Does Not Rule Out God 3:08 Wonder and Wisdom as Pointers 4:05 Why Prayer Changes Natural Revelation 5:12 Testing the Hypothesis That God Is True *Celia Deane-Drummond* is Director of the Laudato Si’ Research Institute and Senior Research Fellow in theology at Campion Hall, University of Oxford. Celia Deane-Drummond argues that nature can point toward God but cannot compel belief on its own. Do you think experiences of wonder in nature reveal something beyond the physical world — or only our human response to it?

Starting with the result you want and working back from there is not science.

The sense of wonder pertains to the mysterious grandeur of Existence -- not a reference to a minor tribal totem named Yahweh.

I think it's helpful to distinguish between the concepts of a divine sign and a wonder. If the flourishing of human wisdom can transform ordinary events into wonder, and, as William Blake observed: “The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing which stands in the way…”, then a sign from God can prompt a person to turn to God and strengthen their faith. Human wisdom is the rare and precious result of a life beginning in innocence and passing through temptations, adversity, seductions, threats, defeats and victories, for a person can be intelligent, creative, genius and brilliant from birth, but not wise.

.In A Course in Miracles (ACIM), God did not create the physical world, so He did not create it through wisdom. The Course teaches that the material universe is an illusion born of the ego's belief in separation from God; true creation (which is spiritual and eternal) is God's realm. ·ACIM: A Course In Miracles The Course addresses this concept directly through a few key principles: The Ego Made the World: ACIM states that the physical world was made by the ego. It is an illusion of space, time, and separation, and therefore could not have been created by God. Creation vs. Projection: The Course differentiates between eternal creation and temporal projection. God’s creations are purely spiritual, changeless, and share His nature. The physical world is a projection of the separated mind's guilt and fear. The Role of Wisdom: Wisdom and knowledge in ACIM are attributes of Heaven. While God does not use wisdom to build a physical universe, the Holy Spirit uses the ego's illusion of the world as a "classroom" for forgiveness, helping us let go of the ego and remember our true spiritual reality.

Robert, the first man of modernity on a mainstream level to show that science, theology, and philosophical questions do matter. Knowledge is truly sexy.

Hahaha I cant believe her words. Believe first, then I'll see the world through your biased lenses. That's the exact opposite of skepticism

Without the DELUSION of Self -Importance there would not be the requirement to have something to be important too .. ZERO requirement for any version of ENTITY . And how many versions of ENTITY have been during the past 40.000 Years ??

Wonder comes from absolute ignorance of the world. A human is born with mechanisms to learn about the world but also born totally ignorant of it. So at a certain time a blade of grass holds wonder. An ant holds wonder. Everything new holds wonder.
