I think it's helpful to distinguish between the concepts of a divine sign and a wonder. If the flourishing of human wisdom can transform ordinary events into wonder, and, as William Blake observed: “The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing which stands in the way…”, then a sign from God can prompt a person to turn to God and strengthen their faith. Human wisdom is the rare and precious result of a life beginning in innocence and passing through temptations, adversity, seductions, threats, defeats and victories, for a person can be intelligent, creative, genius and brilliant from birth, but not wise.

Without the DELUSION of Self -Importance there would not be the requirement to have something to be important too .. ZERO requirement for any version of ENTITY . And how many versions of ENTITY have been during the past 40.000 Years ??

Wonder comes from absolute ignorance of the world. A human is born with mechanisms to learn about the world but also born totally ignorant of it. So at a certain time a blade of grass holds wonder. An ant holds wonder. Everything new holds wonder.
