You forgot one…gout. Eating foods high in purines, like sardines makes my legs swell a bit. I take Allopurinol and my swelling goes down. 3 years on carnivore, 120lbs weight loss😎😎

So let me see if I understand this correctly with an analogy...glucose burns fast and very hot. Ketones have more total energy per unit, but burn slower and not as hot. Fuel burning fast and very hot causes more damage to the "engine." The other fuel can run much longer can run much longer without causing damage. In comparison to a car engine, Glucose is like alcohol in a car engine and Ketones are like gasoline. Alcohol can make extreme power for short bursts, but has to be very strictly regulated to work and it causes engine damage quickly and easily. Gasoline can't make as much power in short bursts, but it doesn't damage the engine when its used. So our bodies are like a duel fueled car engine...one fuel source is only good for short duration use for extreme situations and should be severely regulated and limited in use,. The other fuel will run a long time without causing damage. So whether you talk about your body or a car engine, if you run too long on the alcohol or glucose, it WILL damage your engine.
