Thanks for the video! I didn't know what my fasting method was called until now. I'm in constant 16:8 fasting where I only eat 2x a day. I don't eat snacks or junk foods anymore. I've done 20:4 fasting before and it rapidly reduced my weight after just 1 month............. The benefits I got was better sleep, reduced my waist size, reduced food expenses, and I removed my hypertension.

DR BEEN--I'd like a deeper dive into times of day that are best to IF. For example, you indicated it might not be best to skip breakfast--but I find that is the easiest meal to skip--and feels effective. Once you eat breakfast--you're back on the food train. Rather, it feels good to continue the momentum from sleep/no food and even just DELAYING breakfast feels like some good stuff going on in there. Anyone else??

Cutting carbs mostly out of my diet and cutting my eating window to 6-8 hours were sufficient to eliminate all of my need for metformin, glipizide and Trulicity to control my blood sugar levels. A1C from over 9 to 5.4 to 5.8

Thanks, doc. Yeah, dive deeper in starving and I have been intermittent fasting for almost 4 years, usually eat around 7 pm, and sometimes a little something earlier, I have small meals and am very small and female. I feel better with energy. I do it for keeping weight stable and w/prayer as a way of life....keeping my body under subjection.

I do intermittent fasting for about 10 years now, starting at the age of 48, because I wanted to prevent the weight gaining due to the hormon change of climaterium. It works well. I have lost weight (about 10 kilos) and it remains almost stable afterwards. When I was a Student I did 10 days fasting with a 3 days preparation once a year in spring.

It just takes one small change in lifestyle to create a domino effect on the rest of your life. A lot of people aren't willing to make that small change. If it was easy everyone would do it. They go through and waste their life without ever finding out what they're truly capable of. So anyone who's here because they have the mindset to become better, even by 1%, you're a champion.
